Through national campaigns, local volunteer projects and other initiatives, Chubb supports employee giving and volunteerism with a variety of programs.
Chubb employee volunteerism program
Employees from around the globe participate in hundreds of volunteer activities annually that have a direct impact on the local communities where our employees live and work. Volunteer activities have included building houses, supporting public schools, sorting food donations and cleaning up public parks.
Matching gift program
Chubb matches donations made to eligible charitable organizations by employees in the U.S., Canada and Bermuda. Employees are able to double their personal donations through the matching gift program. In 2020, the program matched nearly 4,700 employee donations in the U.S. and Bermuda.
Pandemic relief matching gift campaign
In April 2020, Chubb launched a global employee matching gift campaign in support of organizations providing pandemic relief. Chubb employees made donations to several organizations with a focus on delivering emergency medical support to healthcare facilities and helping the vulnerable and hungry through community food banks in countries around the world. These donations are matched dollar-for-dollar by the Chubb Charitable Foundation.
Disaster relief matching gifts
Chubb provides funding in support of relief efforts in global disasters through grants and employee campaigns. Chubb has supported disaster relief and rebuild in several countries, including in response to 2020 floods in Hyderabad, India, the 2019-2020 bushfires in Australia, Typhoon Mangkhut in 2018 in the Philippines and the 2018 earthquake in Indonesia.
