Commitment to community

At Chubb, we encourage the development of initiatives that reflect our employees’ commitment to the needs of their local and regional communities. Through national campaigns, local volunteer projects and other initiatives, Chubb supports employee giving and volunteerism through a variety of programs.

Employee Volunteerism

Chubb employees from around the globe participate in hundreds of volunteer activities annually that have a direct impact on the local communities where our employees live and work. Volunteer activities have included building houses, supporting public schools, sorting food donations and cleaning up public parks.

Matching Gift Program

The Chubb Charitable Foundation matches donations made to eligible charitable organizations by employees. Employees are able to double their personal donations through the matching gift program.

Disaster Relief Matching Gifts

Chubb and the Chubb Charitable Foundation have supported disaster relief and rebuild in several countries, including in response to the 2023 earthquake in Turkey, the 2020 floods in Hyderabad, India, 2019-2020 bushfires in Australia, 2018 Typhoon Mangkhut in the Philippines and 2018 earthquake in Indonesia.

Supporting Communities

Through the Chubb Charitable Foundation’s Global Citizens Fund, employees have the opportunity to help the Foundation provide meaningful and targeted support in local communities in each region in which we operate.

Through the IICF, Chubb contributes to local non-profits in a wide variety of areas, including education, disaster preparedness, the environment, health and human services, military veterans and at-risk children. During the IICF Week of Giving, Chubb employees throughout the U.S. and the United Kingdom engage in local volunteer activities. This annual eight-day initiative encourages industry professionals to come together in completing volunteer projects and service that benefit the communities in which they live and work.

Asia Pacific Regional Day of Service

Each November, Chubb’s Asia Pacific region holds a day of service for employees to engage with and help their communities. Despite the pandemic the last two years, the region was able to adjust to the circumstances, pivoting to a virtual environment as needed. Additionally, each program was designed to address the essential needs of local communities impacted by the pandemic. Eleven markets in the region took part in a range of local volunteer projects, including building a community garden, virtual fundraising and donating various necessities.
