Chubb’s twin office buildings in Whitehouse Station, N.J., among the company’s largest facilities, are the latest to be awarded with globally recognized LEED® (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design) certifications for achievement in environmental performance and sustainability. Both buildings achieved LEED Gold certification.
Green Business Certification Inc., the organization that administers LEED certification assessments and credentials, reported that the buildings are “a showcase example of sustainability and demonstrates Chubb’s leadership in transforming the building industry.”
LEED defines green building as the planning, design, construction, and operations of buildings with several central, foremost considerations: energy use, water use, indoor environmental quality, material section and the building's effects on its site.
Our Whitehouse Station buildings bring the total number of LEED-certified Chubb offices to 25.

Chubb green office buildings feature more energy efficient lighting, water conservation methods, composting and environmentally friendly cleaning supplies. The Whitehouse station campus boasts acres of human-built wetlands with vegetation and wildlife that local universities and schools visit to study.
Our Bermuda office, which has earned a Platinum LEED certification, has a LEED Dynamic Plaque on display in the building's main lobby. The plaque calculates the building's performance data on the 100-point scale across the five LEED categories that are impactful to human health and the environment, which include energy, water, waste, transportation and human experience.
Many of our leased properties around the world are also LEED-certified, including among others Paris (Platinum), Chicago (Gold), Quito (Silver) and New York (Silver). Pursuing LEED certifications reflects the care Chubb takes in achieving its environmental goals and in applying its expertise in green consulting services to the company’s own properties.
